- UUCF's Antiracist Book Group selects works of nonfiction and fiction representing diverse communities. Each is discussed during weekly 90 minute sessions on zoom , typically covering 50-80 pages of text. Considering historical and present day contexts, we seek insights into systems of oppression and pathways toward healing and repair. Each selection is announced in the UUCF Newsletter. We typically have 10-12 readers in the group per book. All are welcome! Please contact Barbara Schectman at with questions, comments, and suggestions.
*The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is in the middle of a process of potentially incorporating some version of this statement into the UU Principles. In June 2018, UUCF joined a growing number of UU congregations who have committed to living out this proposed 8th Principle at the congregational level during this interim period.
