Every other month, our Adopt-a-Road Team meets on a Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in the UUCF Parking Lot to clean-up the stretch of nature between the Mt. Zion Rd Exit and our property. (Ages 14+ welcome; takes ~90 minutes.) Join us! Many hands make light work! For details, visit our Adopt-a-Road webpage.
Green Sanctuary
UUCF has been certified as a Green Sanctuary congregation by the Unitarian Universalist Association. Our accreditation was recognized at a special reception at the UUA General Assembly in 2011.
The completed application is a 30-page document which summarizes 17 projects in four areas:
- Worship and Celebration
- Religious Education
- Environmental Justice
- Sustainability.
Most of the application documents the measures adopted by the congregation over a ten-year period to make our building and procedures green. It also includes two new projects: creating a Green Sanctuary Kitchen policy and procedures document and the launching of a multi-faceted Watershed Stewardship project. This information is also available as a table summary.

A pictoral history in the form of an e-book is now available to view on line. (Hint: view as "large" or "extra large").
