Two Sunday Services —  9am and 11am
May 11th – Why Must We Suffer? – Rev. Abigail Stockman – This is the sermon topic chosen by the winner of the sermon at last Autumn’s Service Auction. A wonderful topic to explore, especially to look at how differently – or not – each of the world’s major religious traditions understand it.
May 18th – MiraclesRev. Abigail Stockman – Miracles are not part of our reasoned and rational religious understanding. But perhaps there are other ways of thinking about miracles.
May 25th – To Be Liberated – Rev. Abigail Stockman – The recent media attention toward Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s preaching has raised a question about ‘liberation theology’ – what is it? What might be its meaning to a primarily white, privileged congregation?
